I thoroughly enjoyed hearing your remarks on TMI, Mr. de Adder - all of which which mirror my own about Thug-1 -- though you are far more polite than I'm willing to be about our dangerously loose cannon, Donald Trump.. No one addressed the benefit of chaos our favorite A+hole generates across a vast spectrum of everyday folks. Everything Trump decrees and divines comes from his scrambled brain and yes, he has NO handlers in this 2nd Cirque Noir of an administration. Chaos, you see, muddies any view of his lining his pockets every day -- robbing the country, to control everyone: keeping it lily white, addled from inadequate nutrition in its penurious circumstances. He's happy to accommodate the top 1%, as long as they kick in their pocket change, which adds up. Give Elon a grown-up's job, office space, and a staff Elon will pay, and he's good for 1/4 of a BILLION for Trump's never-ending campaign. That's a hellova gig for someone who aims to never need another term in office since we won't need any more elections. Presumably, Donny will live on terra firma forever. Hell is waiting, though. Wealth won't help him anywhere else; money will be useless.
We the People are not Canadians' enemies. Never will be. Donald Trump is more dangerous to us than he is to Canada or Mexico, but that he's a DANGER and a threat to any nation's stability is APPALLING.
"First they came for..." (Pastor Martin Niemöller). Let me say Re:This Poem, that if they come for you, call me and I'll go ahead of you Michael. Peace out my social media friend.
Watched it - you were great! Interesting comparisons between American and Canadian attitudes and responses. I do think it's a game of "chicken" at this point, and the calmer heads will win :)
For nearly a century, the global trade system has been centered on and anchored by the USA. The reason is that everyone knew America was the most reliable and trustworthy of the great economic powers. Not perfect, but fundamentally rock solid.
No more. Now it's erratic, vindictive, and randomly sadistic. Trump revels in backstabbing anyone weak, especially America's "friends".
The dastardly attack on Canada is definitive proof to the world that the USA is economically insane.
When the world fully absorbs that lesson, broad pushback will begin, it will grow, it will become more sophisticated, and it will cost the US for decades.
