I love political cartoons - you have to be a genius to get it succinctly together… imagery and a few words. Glad I came across this, I restacked. Am reading your other posts.
This is some of the best political artwork I’ve seen. I stared at the last piece for a good five minutes. I will never not be able to see replications of that photo, or the photo itself, without feeling intense emotion. I just imagine that poor black girl getting up that day - her mother making sure that her outfit was perfectly pressed, giving her sunglasses to make her feel safe, telling her to be strong, and being strong for her, then tearing up in fear as her baby girl went to school with a bunch of evil racists. The racists all look jealous, disheveled, and cruel; while the girl looks stoic, wise, suave, and in control - but inside she must have been shaking. It’s a terrifying photo. You replicated it well.
And your other artwork is extremely astute, twinged with humorous observations of another terrifying time in history - the present.
