Board of peace
The Globe and Mail
NOTE:
I drew this last Thursday. My Monday cartons for the Globe and Mail, are drawn on Thursdays and my Saturday cartoons are drawn on Wednesday and sometimes as early as Tuesday. My ideas can look a little old by the time they are published with this kind of lag time.
We’ve see almost a whole week of ideas on the Board of Peace by every cartoonist or meme maker on the planet. None the less, I have yet to see this idea out there. Although I have seen Darth Vader on a panel with other monsters, nobody went full Star Wars.

“There are but two parties now: traitors and patriots,” Colonel Ulysses S. Grant wrote in a letter to his father in 1861. “ I want hereafter to be ranked with the latter and, I trust, the stronger party.”
As President Grant neared the end of his second term in 1875, the first centennial of the Declaration of Independence approached. Grant predicted that the next civil war would be "between patriotism and intelligence on one side, and superstition, ambition, and ignorance on the other.”
Great cartoon.
For some reason this popped in head. The commercial where Kristi Noem asks people to self-deport and get paid to with the promise of getting to come back legally.... WOW, that last part is pure fiction... and why not at the end "I'm Stephen Miller and I approve this message."
