When I hear "ice" it's a gut punch now. Don't even think of the frozen stuff.

Real Americans don't own anything Trump does.

. . . and as you know Teresa, real Americans are THE LARGE PLURALITY of the U.S. population, and we DESPISE everything and everyone that have twisted our government into a lawless, lying, misanthropic, den of bold iniquity. We the People - who ARE the nation - will prevail.

Vote. Against Trump or anything like him. Get him out of power, and into a supported living setting.

I laughed at your admonition to not vote for A-whole or anyone like him - not because it was funny, but a cautionary warning no one has ever needed to suggest to me. I never did vote for Trump, never would have, and have never voted for anyone I haven't researched in public records and press articles. Nowadays, there's precious little one can't find on the Internet about every candidate for any office. I know more about his family than anyone would want known about themselves and their forebears. It was all removed when DJT was running for his 1st term. His paternal g'father, who slithered out of Germany to avoid being drafted to fight in WWI, headed for the U.S., and soon was in the Klondike and the gold rush, establishing comfort houses (a string of brothels), and stores for needed merchandise and equipment; and made a fortune. He died of the Spanish flu pandemic, in the 2nd decade of 1900, leaving his wife and young son (Donald's father) who jointly started a real estate business. The family has a history of seamy business-practices, obsessed with money and racism. Donald's family "thought they were of Swedish ancestry" (knowing better, and Anglicizing their name). His mother came to the US seeking a job as "a domestic" from a poor fisherman's large family from an island of Scotland's Outer Hebrides chain of islands. She was uneducated, but reveled in being a woman married to a wealthy (but miserly) man, able to hire domestic staff to do all the "woman's work" of house and child care.

I'm a retired mental health professional who once (once) watched 10 minutes of "The Apprentice" (once!) and rightly recognized Donald Trump's classic sociopathy. His parents shipped him off to the (said to be) strictest military school in the country, because no one could 'handle' him. Money, not grades, got him into Wharton School of Business, of the University of Pennsylvania. Several bankruptcies argue that wasn't a great help in business. See if you can relate any of the information in the Mayo Clinic's (non-psychobabble terminology) description of the most obvious personality disorder (Donald is actually a "Mixed Type") that is more descriptive of Donald Trump than published biographies of the man.

Worry not about the likelihood of my ever casting a vote for Anything-Donald Trump, Kathy Kilburn! Donald Trump is the most dangerous hominid to have ever won an election at any time in world history.

Mary Trump's books on the family are eye-opening, & appalling. DJT is doing exactly what his father programmed him to do. And his father's business practices were very instructive for little Donny.

Icemen vs vicious ICE capades. Such a perfect analogy, MdA.

The repercussions of this administration has had yet another ghastly effect.

Some crank, dressed as a policeman and driving a very accurate replica of a SUV police vehicle, has killed 1 Minnesota Democratic lawmaker & her spouse, and shot another lawmaker & his wife, who it's hoped will survive.

The faux police car was filled with guns & ammunition, and a manifesto with many other names of targets. Now there's a massive manhunt underway & Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has asked "No Kings" to refrain from protesting while the manhunt continues. Naturally, US AG Pam Bondi & the FBI are investigating. Fire & ICE. Bad to worse. Thanks to the tawdry tyrant & his simping sycophants 😪

I watched, in horror, a take-down of a woman, carrying at least one child, on the street, by the ICE-men. It was pervasively brutal & violent, & neither of those aspects were remotely necessary.

It brought home to this Canadian just how pervasively & hideously bad this whole process is, & what it absolutely personifies the Trump dictatorship.

Years ago, I used to wonder how a country as civilized as Germany could become so monstrous, with so little objection or resistance from citizens.

I've looked at fascism, its characteristics, etc. America, under Trump, is ticking so many of those boxes.

So it's SO good to see the extent of the resistance in these marches & demonstrations--their purpose, and their enormity.

Now to translate that into votes ASAP, to evict that orange thing, and replace him with a true American president, and supporting staff.
