If the U.S. goes ahead with shutting down most of USAID’s global health programs, it could lead to over 14 million more deaths by 2030 — including millions of kids under five. A new study in The Lancet says these programs have saved about 91 million lives since 2001 by fighting diseases like HIV, malaria, and others in poorer countries. But now, under orders from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, 83% of these programs have been cut and USAID has been folded into the State Department. Experts warn this could undo years of progress. One of the lead researchers, Davide Rasella, said these programs didn’t just save lives — they helped whole communities become stronger. Without them, struggling health systems could collapse, diseases could spread faster, and global stability could be at risk. Simply put: when public health systems break down, the whole world feels it.

As bad as this is, the worst of Trump's bill may be the billions allocated to ICE, which will become Trump's Brown Shirts if not an outright Gestapo --- masked, unaccountable, armed to the teeth, and cruel.
Greed and cruelty is the point.
