Donald Trump promised to appoint pro-life justices to the Supreme Court.
And to his benefit, during his presidency, he had the chance to nominate three justices.
He appointed Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett.
These appointments were each controversial in their own way.
All three were seen as conservative, with a potential to overturn Roe v Wade. But each argued in their confirmation hearing that Roe v Wade was a deeply rooted, repeatedly upheld precedent.
None the less, their confirmations shifted the Court to a solid conservative majority.
This new balance gave momentum to anti-abortion legal challenges.
In 2022, the Supreme Court agreed to hear Dobbs v. Jackson.
The Court’s ruling overturned Roe v. Wade after nearly 50 years.
Trump's appointments played a crucial role in this decision.
Without his nominations, the Court would not have had the votes.
His legacy is now tied to the end of Roe and its national impact

The 'Pro-life vs the school shootings/gun control' cartoon was so biting. It's up there with the 'let's play through' one. Brilliant.
Well done Michael. A picture is worth a thousand words.
