The irony of being an editorial cartoonist in a digital age
My interview with Ian Hanomansing
Editorial cartoons are being seen by more people than ever, but the income that supports them is drying up. Fresh after being let go from his 30-year newspaper job, renowned editorial cartoonist Michael de Adder talks to The National’s Ian Hanomansing about the perils of his profession in the age of social media.
This couldn’t have been done without the kindness of cartoonist Wes Tyrell and Coco Bilan-Tracey. They let us use their home for this interview.
Just saw this on CBC News last night ... very insighful and fun interview! Didn't realize Ian H. was relatively short either!
Two greatly loved and respected Canadians doing their thing. Fabulous interview.
