The popular music of today is, by comparison, sonic wallpaper. It was the good fortune of my generation to be young in those glorious years when disaster and death in Vietnam prompted an artistic outpouring that spoke so deeply to humanity. It was breathtaking in both depth and variety and remains a wonder so many decades later.
Michael de Adder is a full-blown artist, NOT just an editorial 'toon genius. I'd give anything to see some of his "serious" painting. If I were of child-bearing age, I'd name one after him to own one! His work has got to be somewhere, because that kind of talent HAS to be expressed by all artists - who need to get it out/create.
