Yes, Susan, some people blame Nixon, but in my experience, it was Reagan who demonized POC with his Welfare Queen fable. And all the greed. Iran-Contra. And it just snowballed from there.
Trump is lying about his legacy? Since when? And you should really check the size of the little man on the ladder... he seems so small in comparison to the monument.
to make humor out of evil is an alchemy of genius, & such tonic for those of us who are now living inside the corpse of the country we did not quite know had already died, at least in the form we had (flawed as we knew we were) some faith in & fondness for. thank you, MdA, much.
As someone who doesn't read, it's no wonder the 'stable genius' hasn't got an understanding of Reagan's take on tariffs. His 1987 speech clarified his position, but Trump will always try to rekindle the thoughts of others into a fire that suits his agenda! Love Reagan or not (i don't), on this one point he was correct. Tariffs, over the long run, hurt American workers & consumers, and often trigger trade wars.
Trump is lying, of course, about Reagan and tariffs, but Reagan was the beginning of the decline and fall of the United States democracy. 🤬😭

Reagan started it and Newt Gingrich smashed it home and destroyed bipartinship!!!
He lies. That's what he does best. That's Donny's legacy.
That man is a stranger to the truth.
He’s a stranger to Humanity
St. Ronnie meets King Donald.
both on the wrong side of history
In Reagan’s word “Tear down that ladder and let the moron fall”

I see you are not resting on your laurels Michael. Nice one on Mr.R. (a man I love to hate). Hey, and congrats on another Townsie!!

I think the right side of the plinth says it:
Reagan
FFS!
What a lier! I hope his lies bring him down!

Trump is a lying, cheating, pig man and hypocrite.
That brain of yours……
You got it, Michael - horrific but accurate. Xo
Think anyone will notice if history is, once again, rewritten? After all, it’s not done with a black sharpie!
