Donald Trump has used a range of distractions to capture attention and shift focus, including inflammatory tweets, attacks on political rivals, polarizing comments on immigration, claims of election fraud, personal feuds with media figures, criticisms of NATO and U.S. allies, praise for authoritarian leaders, comments on NFL protests, disputes over crowd sizes, culture war topics like transgender rights in the military, allegations against tech and social media companies for bias, conspiracy theories, and even criticism of his own government’s intelligence agencies.
What a great metaphor—Trump, the little a*hole who punches each floor button in the elevator. Not only is he dragging us down, we go down incrementally. Like death by a thousand cuts.
Wonderful representation of that mad man child! Let’s hope America’s nightmare (and ours) will soon be over.
