Everything is being shut down so Trump can focus on winning that Nobel Peace Prize he believes he so richly deserves. And I wonder what rationalization the Nobel Committee might offer if Trump is awarded the Prize. Meanwhile, so much good work the government could be doing has been idled.
Surely to God, the Nobel Committee would not sink so low as to suck up to TACO!?! They have no reason to do that. What could he do to them except have a temper tantrum and shout insults at them. Aa far as I know, they never have awarded an obviously horrific current Dictator who has never done ANYTHING good.

The Dems are standing up for people's health care but some pundits are saying this allows the Republicans to blame the shutdown on the Democrats. If they had allowed these health insurance premiums to increase then people would have no doubt that it was the Republicans who were causing their pain. I guess we'll see.
The people who are saying it’s a mistake for Dems to do this are either (a) old-fashioned Dems who still think etiquette matters, or (b) Republicans. I myself was praying that the Dems wouldn’t cave, as they often do. This is the only way we’re going to help all the Americans who are going to lose their healthcare. There is NO WAY Republicans will help American citizens. This is on the Republicans and most sensible Americans know it.
