North Korea is Communist in name only. North Korea is a totalitarian hereditary dictatorship with a comprehensive cult of personality around the Kim family. That sounds exactly what Trump aspires to in the US.

With Dotard J. Trump, the Manchurian Cantaloupe, every complaint is a confession, every accusation an admission.

That's exactly the quote I was trying to think of, and I failed! TY...

Trump has shown consistently that every accusation is an admission.

What's Korean for "You can't make this stuff up"?

The irony of Trump calling Democrats "Commies," while cozying up to his BFF (Kim Jong-un, an actual Communist), is totally lost on Trump.

(And, of course, he's hoping we'll fall for it ahead of the midterms.)

Trump is mistaking the American public for members of his generation who grew up in the cold war amid blacklisting and show trials of communist sympathizers. He doesn't know enough history to connect communism with, say Stalin's Great Terror or the gulags. Already by 1966 this red scare was being spoofed, as in the film The Russians Are Coming the Russians Are Coming.

Trump's mentor was Roy Kohn, McCarthy's sidekick in the Red scare of the 50's.

Yup, Roy Cohn. It really boggles the mind.

Led by the hand by a dictator with that tie flapping behind him. Perfect image. 🎯

Xi Jinping seems to be leading Trump. Trump would, of course, erupt at the implication. Despite him being easily distracted by flattery. Not that his lackeys will allow him to view Mr. De Adder's art...

...hmm... it seems I can't tell the difference between a Chinese Communist and a Korean communist. Lemme call President Trump and ask him who he's frolicking with now.

Kathryn Pierce's avatar

Frolicking barefoot in the grass and holdinng hands. How lovely. And loving. The orange one should be careful he doesn't trip over that tie. Or maybe he will. One can only hope.

Words couldn't describe this better.

The best part is they didn't even acknowledge hearing from Trump.

The Trymp government has taken, often by coercion, private equity stakes in over 30 companies. There is nothing more communist than that.
