amazing art. Someone needs to let the president know that we have been invaded by a hostile force, and that we need to call out the national guard. Oh wait, the invaders are our troops.
It feels all too real. Democracy's ship of state is having a hard time righting itself when faced with so much armed opposition & a lunatic at the helm.
Chilling... Reminds me of the old warning: "Objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear." Except those are basically faceless minions, just following orders. And all they see are "others" rather than their fellow human beings.
I compare ICE to the IDF in that both are attacking the defenseless. ICE behavior is completely outside the law. There is no need for violent assaults on buildings when unarmed agents could simply go in a building to find out without breaking down doors if any illegal immigrants are present. I can't help but wonder if a number of these masked anonymous men in black might have been in private life the very ones to declare that one's home is one's castle ready to be defended with firearms. Trump is reveling in his lawless power, but the American people are not impressed. He is digging himself in deeper in his own domestic version of "shock and awe"
The ICE holes have permanently dehumanized themselves. Cowards, bullies, too low-life to be accepted into the actual military or any local police force.
We can get away with that stuff here, but I wonder how long it will take WaPo, WSJ, and other "mainstream news outlets to catch on and censor your neologism.
you know, it's always a brilliant take on the sadness that is the USA, but Michael, it must be hard to be you! You see it and you draw it day after day...I hope you take time to look at clouds (the real ones in the sky) and check out the autumn leaves and maybe even hug someone. xoxoxo

Several lunatics at the helm: vought, miller, johnson … and trump.

Nameless and faceless.
They must be proud to call themselves by that name - ICE.
So many bad connotations to that.
Heartbroken and thank you for graphically recording our demise; this is one of your best. So strange to be on the receiving end of this.
Wow, Michael, creepy.

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to pass your label for members of ICE around -- with proper attribution, of course.
I wish I had come up with that one.
Run with it, and feel free to skip the attribution! We're all feeling this.

Wow. Read in the LA Times ICE is recruiting 18-year-olds. Assholes!
ICE holes is the correct term.
I'd really, really like to BEAN every one of those ICE criminals.
I’d BEA’N every one of their balaclavas, shouting “GO HOME!”
Sadly, this is all too freakishly real!

MY FAVORITE BOOKSTORE OF ALL TIME. Thank you. Also, I love your work.
Brilliant
Brilliant! Here's my amateur attempt: https://cartoonsfromtheedge.substack.com/p/the-real-monsters-of-the-midway
Powerful and disturbing, looking at ourselves is as frightening as anything we could have ever imagined. I weep for our country and the world.
